  • Do maintenance services and add-ons roll over if they aren't used in a month?
    Services are tailored to each billing cycle's specific needs and do not roll over. However, I can adjust your maintenance plan over time as needed to ensure you're getting the most value and that what you're getting makes sense for your budget and goals.
  • Can I cancel my plan if I don't use it?
    Absolutely! There are no contracts, so you can cancel at any time. You can cancel by emailing me at melanie@rooteddeepcreative.com.
  • Can I customize my maintenance package and add add-ons?
    Absolutely! If you like a specific package, but want to add or swap some different add-ons to your quote, you can! I offer flexible add-on options so you can choose exactly what your website needs. Start here and I'll be in contact.
  • Can I sign up for your maintenance plan if you didn't build my website?
    If your website is designed on WIX or Squarespace, I'd be open to working with you on website maintenance, even if I didn't originally design your website, but under a few conditions... It must be designed by a professional designer, and not DIYed. The reason being, if your site is DIYed and it's been piecemealed together over the years, chances are your site might need a total overhaul before working with you on improving your online presence. If that's the case, and you do still want to work together on website maintenance, I'm all for it, but I would require that you book a VIP Day together, first, in order to give your site a "face-lift" so we can then maintain that strong online presence we created together. I can go over this more, and address any questions you might have on our initial call together!.
  • What is included in the monthly site health check?
    The monthly site health check is like a wellness checkup for your website. I review key areas like site speed, mobile responsiveness, accessibility, SEO performance, and user experience (UX/UI). This ensures your site is running smoothly and optimized for both visitors and search engines.
  • How do you handle larger updates outside the scope of the maintenance plan?
    If something you need is outside the scope of my maintenance plan, like adding a new page, I'll provide a quote for a work session. Let me know what you need here and I'll be in touch.

    Being hands-on with my client's website, means that you get my design and process. That said, I work as efficiently as possible to get your website up and running. Typically my timelines are as follows: Starter Website Package = ~2 weeks Growth Website Package = ~4 weeks Premium Website Package = ~6 weeks

    Yes, a monthly maintenance plan is available. See the details here.
  • How collaborative is your process?
    The design process is typically hands off for the client. Their involvement will be answering the questionnaire, submitting their content to me and then waiting to review their site. The edits week is more collaborative because it requires the client to set aside time to review the site and request any edits they may want me to make.
  • How do payments work?
    I try to keep payment plans as simple as possible for you. For Starter Website Packages: 50% deposit to secure your design dates 50% upon project completion For Growth and Premium Website Packages: 50% deposit to secure your design dates 25% halfway through the project 25% upon project completion
  • Can I add a shop to my website?
    Yes! WIX includes e-commerce capabilities.
  • What hosting platform do you use?
    I specialize in WIX website design. A few reasons I really like this platform: Perfect for small businesses Easily add collaborators/transfer ownership Offers powerful marketing tools and analytics in one place. Supports your SEO and technical details Simple enough to make quick edits, strong enough to make coding customizations when you need them That said, I'm working on specializing in Squarespace as well. If you have interest in building a Squarespace website, just let me know. I'll have a discounted rate for you as I learn the ropes of the platform.
  • Is WIX good with SEO?
    Yes! Here’s a little glimpse into how SEO works on Wix.
  • Will I have ownership over the site?
    Totally. Upon completion and final payment I will transfer full ownership of your website to you. You may choose to keep me on as a collaborator in case you need extra support at any time.
  • Do I need to purchase anything additional?
    Yes. In order to use WIX, you’ll need to purchase the website package you require. The good news is that you don't need purchase anything until your website is ready to launch!

If you'd be open to having me design your new website using Squarespace, I have a special discount for you as I learn the ropes becoming competent at using the Squarespace builder. I've also used other builders, such as Wordpress Divi Themes.
